Love on Delivery Is Premiering at the Dallas International Film Festival This Saturday
It's happening.
This Saturday, October 17 at 1:30 PM, Love on Delivery makes its world premiere at the Dallas International Film Festival, screening at the Angelika Film Center Dallas, Auditorium 7.
This film has been one of the most meaningful projects I've worked on, and getting to share it at DIFF feels like the perfect home for it. I wrote and directed Love on Delivery because I wanted to tell a story about two people navigating the intersection of identity, family, and love in a way that felt real and funny and deeply human. If that sounds like your kind of film, I hope you'll be there.
The story
When Jaya, an independent Indian American college student, convinces a charming Mexican American food delivery driver to pose as her boyfriend for one chaotic family celebration, their pretend romance grows into something real. Together they're forced to confront the traditions they've inherited, the expectations they've outgrown, and what it truly means to build a family without leaving the ones who built them behind.
This film was made possible by an incredible team. I'm so proud to share their names:
Writer/Director: Teresa Fernandez
Producers: Priya Deva, JJ Fernandez, Anil Sankaramanchi
Associate Producer: Olivia Villa
Cast: Nishta Cattinari, Matthew Rodriguez
Cinematographer: Anna Priscilla Robles
